Based on the drawings, we will send you a quotation after confirming the size, material type, facing, and if the materials are to be supplied.

Arrival of Goods

Once we receive the order, the materials will be brought to our factory. Sometimes, we use materials  that are nearly 6 meters long. (We will be happy to supply the materials or procure them, either of your choice）

Molding Processing

We will then use a machine called a molder, to cut wood into the thickness of your choice. The machine needs to be finely adjusted to the condition of the wood. And this is one of the processes where our experiences really shines through.

By utilizing our in-house know-how and the latest NC processing machines, we will then process the rods of the coffered ceilings that are crossing one another.

　(This is called, "interlacing". The way to process is a trade secret...)

We can also produce a component called a "turtle tail", which is used in the case of a folded ceiling that is raised one step higher in the center of the ceiling.

Completion Check  

Our craftsman is carefully checking each finished product.

Temporary Assembly

Upon your request, we will be happy to perform temporary assembly before shipment.

Shipping & Delivery 

After carefully packing, to prevent scratches and stains during transportation, the products are finally shipped.  （Delivery can also be done by us with our truck, if it is within a 1-2 hour distance from our factory. Our work ends here.）

Finalization 

The beautiful coffered ceiling has been installed by the shrine carpenter and the work is now complete.

The Heian Jingu Shrine leaves the historic atmosphere of when the capital was moved to Ancient Kyoto or Heian-kyo, now known as Kyoto. Here, we processed and delivered a custom-made fence used for bannisters.

The Tokugawa Art Museum is a collection of artifacts and works, which exhibits mainly those of Tokugawa, Ieyasu. We processed and delivered a custom-made coffered ceiling.

Toyokawa Inari, is one of the three Inari shrines in Japan, and is known countrywide, as a place to bring good fortune for business. During renovation, we processed and delivered a custom-made coffered ceiling.

For this unique museum, designed by Kengo Kuma, the traditional "staggered lattice", latticework of Hida Takayama, is used in this construction instead of nails or glue. Our work started from studying how to assemble the lattice along with modeling, and then we processed and delivered the custom-made lattice, each of which is different from the other.
