about us

- We aim to continue as a company, for another 100 years -

“Making the most of trees mean making the most of the region and the earth

As we work on sustainable procurement and reuse of wood and energy-efficient manufacturing, we intend on passing on the Japanese culture and technology that exists with wood to the next generation.

We will contribute to society and the environment through woodworking by providing learning opportunities for local children, supporting local events, and being a part in connecting the art of “Miya-daiku” or temple carpentry to the future.

Use trees, so you can protect the forest …We support sustainable forests by selecting legally harvested and certified timber.

Build local communities by using local trees We connect local resources by preferentially using timber from Gifu Prefecture and other parts of Japan.

You can find value even beyond the cutting Scraps and wood waste are sorted and reused for traditional crafts, biomass power generation and other purposes.

Use energy carefully The designs we make are to save energy, and the machines we introduce are to make the manufacturing process environmentally friendly.

Interacting with wood will provide learning opportunities We provide children with opportunities to attend woodworking classes and factory tours to see how attractive wood is.

Live with the community along with tradition …We support the local culture by providing wood for Shinto rituals, events and local government.

Pass on to the next generation, the years of perfected skills We pass on the tradition to the future by attending/supporting the organization in maintaining the skills of "Miya-daiku".

“Using trees means building the future”

We aim to create a sustainable society through wood processing

There was once a time when cutting down trees was thought to be "destroying nature". However, what is truly necessary in protecting the forest is, not "to not use trees" but to use them properly and build an environment for trees to grow.

We are enthusiastic about using legal timber especially from Gifu Prefecture and other parts of Japan. The wood we use is managed with a mind of a sustainable forest in the future.

And the unused wood is used as scrap wood. In addition, to continue making the most in minimizing the energy required for processing, we have installed the latest energy-efficient machinery. This is a step toward a carbon-neutral society.

Also, we provide woodworking classes and factory tours for local children to attend so that they can directly feel the warmth of wood and the beauty of traditional art.

Tradition & Skills

By utilizing our 50 years of joinery techniques, we have been making coffered ceilings. And to respond to recent short production periods, we also offer pre-cutting, engraving and molding processing of all types of building materials for shrines and temples along with fixture materials.
